Day 6

It's been almost a week here at the academy. Being here has been a strange experience. My hours are from 9:00am to 10:00pm and sometimes can be a lot later. The days go by quickly yet it feels like I've been here for a long time. You're around art for a majority of the day with no real distractions. The only breaks I take are to eat, sleep, and go to the bathroom. It's been great, and I look forward to taking what I learned back to Sarasota(and speaking of Sarasota, I've been surprisingly missing that place.)

I'm pretty jealous of you right now... I thought I saw myself in one of these pictures and my head almost exploded, but then I saw that the guys hair was too straight and was saved from cranial obliteration. It was a tense few seconds though. I'd still like to believe that I somehow split and have a spirit proxy stalking the shadows of Kansas City and absorbing all the information so that in August I'll recombine and it will be like I had been there, although I think maybe that's a bit unrealistic. I wonder if illustrators are like the highlander? I should start looking for a sword...
